The Tennessee Equine Hospital is looking to add an enthusiastic member to the team! Primary responsibilities include conducting and monitoring anesthesia, assisting doctors with ambulatory and outpatient cases, patient monitoring and treatments, assisting with emergencies and outpatient cases, restocking and maintenance of trucks and hospital, and invoice management.
TEH is a multi-doctor ambulatory and urgent care facility located 1508 Thompsons Station Road, Thompsons Station, TN. We treat horses from a variety of disciplines and performance levels, so there’s never a dull moment!
Qualifications
· Positive attitude and ability to work on a team
· Self-motivation and strong work ethic
· Proficiency in horse handling and basic care
· Licensed veterinary technician or post high school education in equine studies preferred
- Experience with large animal anesthesia preferred
· Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and able to jog horses
This position is for a full-time night anesthesia tech, including a rotation of weekends.
- Must have a minimum 1 year experience in anesthesia (equine preferred, small animal considered)
- Must be driven
- Must be able to work evening/night shifts and on-call
- Must be reliable
